Gaia Wellness is dedicated to filling a vital gap in the special needs community by creating a multifunctional, multi-use center that supports and enriches the lives of children and adults with special needs. Our vision is to provide a nurturing, inclusive environment that fosters personal growth, therapeutic engagement, and community connections, addressing the unique needs of each individual.
The future of Gaia Wellness envisions a dynamic expansion that goes beyond traditional care services. We aim to purchase property where we can build a vibrant, self-sustaining community center. This space will integrate agricultural elements, such as gardening and hands-on learning spaces both inside and out, offered by Gaia Wellness. Additionally, outside providers and agencies will be able to collaborate, reserving or renting the various spaces we offer as needed. We are also excited to offer farm animal therapy and care, providing clients and providers opportunities for hands-on therapeutic activities that promote self-sufficiency, new skill development, and relationship-building within the community.
Part of our vision is to create a versatile, inclusive space where individuals of all abilities can find resources, therapeutic outlets, and community connections through hands-on experiences. Our multi-use facility will feature a variety of purpose-driven rooms.
A large indoor sensory therapy space with adaptive equipment, swings, and tools to meet therapeutic needs, providing a safe haven for children who may struggle to access other community spaces. We will have a resource room stocked with information on agencies and support services throughout Colorado, an art room for therapeutic and recreational use, and a music room designed for music therapy sessions and free play during community free days. Outside, an adaptive playground and therapy space will provide a welcoming area for outdoor engagement, while a dining room will host community potlucks and serve as a comfortable spot for clients to enjoy meals during day trips. Additionally, a low-sensory room will be available for those who may need a quiet space to retreat from overstimulation.
